X-MAS Party is an annual, charitable event that benefits the Captain Planet Foundation (CPF). The mission of CPF is to fund and support hands-on, environmental projects for children and youths worldwide.

CPF Chairperson, Laura Turner Seydel, joined X-MAS Party Event Chair, Sacha Taylor, in presenting Rock the Earth, calling each of us to be part of a movement to change the planet.

The event, which celebrated its 15th year in 2009, is like no other in Atlanta. The festive, must attend evening is filled with live musical performances by renowned artists and entertainers and dancing. Clearly one of Atlantas most-anticipated parties, it is held every year in December at the Tabernacle in Downtown Atlanta.

The event goal is not only to raise awareness of our planets important environmental challenges, but also to raise money in order to provide grants to schools and youth organizations for hands-on eco-education projects. CPFs current primary focus is Captain Planets Learning Gardens, an environment-based education initiative that attaches curriculum to "outdoor classrooms," or learning gardens, in schools.
