Having read the comments made, I have to say that the person heard making smartarse comments was stood next to me and had nothing to do with the video.I am a wooden boat builder and restorer and felt sick at the sight of what was going on before me.I had just returned from Palma having been working on Bluebird of 1938 and this happened within ten minutes of my arrival back at the yard. There was no intent to to find any type of sick pleasure in this video, a sad end for sure. Ken Wilkinson.

Seems like a whole lot of rot going on there. Not all boats should live forever, especially neglected, POS wood ones.

anyone that know anything about wooden boats and renovating know that this boat was in appaling condition and would do alot better as firewood than as boat...

I once was seduced by a small 1930's cutter and so embarked on a complete rebuild that included everything but the keel. All sixty- steam bent frames, planking, deck beams, deck, house, so that all that remained was the mast and the backbone. I was naive and the boat no more than thirty-feet overall.

Unshakable determination, salvaged materials, and good luck brought this beauty back to life. I celebrate twenty years now this year with this fine boat.

Látszik a különbség a kultúrák között. Görögországban nem bántják a régi hajókat, megtűrik. Hiába valódi hajós nép. Ez is mutatja ezeknek az embereknek az erkölcseit, csak a pénzt tartják fontosnak, hogy valódi értéket rombolnak szét meg sem értik, csak nevetnek ( mint az ötéves ostoba gyerekek). Even sadder is how the boy snickers like a silly school girl. This is a sad moment and no funnier than if your great-grandmother were reduced to rubble before your camera's eye.

When I was a boy, my father took me out to Kearney, NJ, to watch his old ship get cut down at a wrecking yard. I was probably no more than 6, but I remember watching my dad cry. It's a sad thing to watch this, it looks like a boat that left a lot of memories. It is a shame that nobody could buy it, but it's rare to find somebody with the skill to rebuild an old boat like this one. Can't fault the yard, either. It's just sad, all around.
