This was one of the videos I made for the tribute to Sal Ditroia that was held at Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa, Florida. The various other artists and album covers you see in the video were artists that Sal played with and various albums on which he played. Many of the photos of Sal were from Skipper's Smokehouse from the month before he passed away, and most are from the WhistleStop Grille in Safety Harbor, Florida where the Tampa Bay Fingerstyle Guitar Guild played regularly; Sal was "instrumental" in helping start the group and mentoring members.

  • Thank you for putting this together. I'm very moved and appreciative. I'm also broken hearted that I don't have and have never seen some of these photos....but you did a great job.

  • @ditroiamusic Send me a way to get hold of you, either here or on FaceBook through Priest Churchill, and I'd be more than happy to burn all the material I have to disk for you. :-)

  • @ditroiamusic I can give you a copy of the movie on disk as well as all these photos and maybe more, just email me off-youtube... or get in touch with me through the Tampa Bay Fingerstyle Guitar Guild.

  • Sorry it took so long to get back to you...I would LOVE the pics and the video. My email is ditroiamusic@msn.com

  • I met Sal when here lived here in Virigina Beach in the 80's. I was lucky enough to have him work on one of my songs. What an amazing talent he was. Such a gentle soul. Both he and my enginner friend are gone now and I am deeply saddened. They were a great team. I will always treasure those memories. Thank you for doing this video.

  • Thanks for doing that.
