Aug 16 - Jamaica's Usain Bolt sprints to victory in the Beijing Olympics 100 metre race and sets a new world record.
Bolt ran the race in just 9.69 seconds.

She got the detail wrong maybe, was it really 1988 like you said? But hey you cannot take anything away from this performance and the performance of the Jamaican Womens 100 Final also!
