20101021 IFC in NYC; Q&A with Steven Wilson following Insurgentes premiere

Lasse Hoile was originally scheduled to answer questions with Wilson, but was unable to attend, so we had to "make do" with Steven Wilson. ;-) Wilson was very pleasant and thorough in responding to questions, and generous with his time, in allowing people for formulate their questions uninterrupted, and in responding at length to the questions posed.

I look forward to seeing what he does with his next solo album. Certainly nothing the man does musically is boring. ;-)

This video clip was taken on 21 September 2010, at IFC in NYC, following the US premiere of the "Insurgentes" film.

Marek and I were lucky and sat in the front row, slightly off center, so we were about eight to ten feet from him during the question and answer session following the film. 

Wilson was every bit as nice and genuine as he comes across in interviews, if a bit more shy, and it was a pleasure to meet him.

Steven Wilson proves himself day by day to be the greatest musician I've ever heard. And I've had the same views on music, albums, releases for years, and it makes me happy to see someone share that mindset. International popstar ftw.

If he were to have done a showing of his film here in Dallas, I so would have gone. I'm still waiting for my copy in the mail, too. I can't wait!!
