Crocomire is a goddamn determinator if I ever saw one. He keeps trying to kill you even after his death. Yeah, he fails miserably, but he still tries.
3:09 - Actually if you get down to the Golden Torizo room with only the varia suit and as few items as possible, and hold X,Y,A,B as you enter the door, a script runs that gives you all items, and a ton of missiles. (I think, lol)
The big reason i will always choose this (or if not available, zero mission) over Fusion is because #1, Fusion actually is very creepy, and #2, there's almost no sequence breaking possible, no wall jumping, infinite bomb jumping is very hard. When i play through Zero Mission, i always sequence break for early High-Jump boots and Varia suit before kraid, it makes kraid (zone, not boss) obscenely easy
Metroid taught me a wonderful bit of advice, that there is no true dead end in the maze-like caverns. There is ALWAYS a little hidden goodie stashed somewhere around that room.
Plus, when I first played Super Metroid, I got really into exploring Norfair, and kept moving farther into areas I knew I didn't have the abilities for, and I did get to the 10 missles, reserve tank, and the wave beam from that green bubbly room. x]
If you fall off those yellow platforms just before the Wave Beam, you can get back up without leaving the room with just a running jump (maybe with an additional wall jump off the side of one, as well).
Also, you're "supposed" to get your first Power Bombs in the upper part of red Brinstar using the Ice Beam, then go all the way back down to Norfair to reach Crocomire and the Grappling Beam. Definitely way too much drawn-out back-and-forth NOT to sequence-break.
Ok, I have to agree, I can't wait to see how you do this. Loving the LP so far, but I have to admit I'd also like to see a more leisurely 100% run sometime. Then again, that could be because VLPs are my primary substitute for TV these days. -Brer

I'm sure I've gotten through the boily part of Norfair without using the Crystal Flash. It's definitely a lot of trouble, though.
