Lucinda notices John while at the Hughes' where family & friends are gathered to say goodbye to Nancy. They later meet for a beer with Lucinda asking John's advice on how to win Lily's forgiveness.

The one thing I wanted but thought would never happen at the end of ATWT was John and Lucinda getting back together, and I am just THRILLED that that's exactly what's going to happen. They were a blast when they were married, and knowing they're going to ride off into the sunset together does my heart good.

@FebWriter I felt the same way. I never dreamed John would return or if he did, they'd pair him with Lucinda again after the catastrophe that was Brian and Lucinda. She deserved a happy ending and I'm glad she got it with John.

When Lucinda snuck up behind John I got goosebumps...What a real treat to see Elizabeth Hubbard and Larry Bryggman back on screen together again.

@thmspierson I know. They have great chemistry and the real treat for me is that this is my first time to see them on the show together and not just on YT.

@bprest1 I didn't watch when they were married, but I watched for years there friendship after their marriage. These are the king and queen of daytime actors. I'm really going to miss Elizabeth Hubbard and her amazing creation Lucinda Walsh...quite possibly the greatest television character ever.

@thmspierson I agree with you. She is already so greatly missed and the finale with John and Lucinda was my favorite part. Just wish there had been more sooner. They're both outstanding performers.

They both seem so unscripted. I always felt like they adlibbed everything. They were tremendous, bless them.
