@TheWhiteOwl23 I doubt that him flying with a wingman Into a bushel of German fighters and make up to command when he landed a story when he had a wingman to back it up But rushing to "drop tanks" and get in the fight. Many pilots made many mistakes and paid for it with there lives

Love the vid. Think it's funny about the drop tanks. There was a guy that "dropped tanks" 3 secs before a dogfight and forgot to switch over fuel pumps ..The plane stalled and he took the shot anyways ,,,making The first ever kill in a glider ! lol true story

@XP55 I think the youtube user airboyd has the whole thing. The thing is its kinda funny like this because the narrator totaly avoids the whole "bail out" question. lol

I knew a fellow who flew them in the Pacific, and he said they were a fine plane in the air, but they turned into a bit of a squirrel on take offs and landings with any kind of cross wind.
