  • Superb coverage of the gala Joseph and William is a smokie loco one for the crowds.

    Regards Phil.

  • @981smithy Hi, Phil. This was the first time we went to Elsecar. We'll probably go again if Peckett 'Mardy Monster' is running. When they've raised enough funds, they hope to put a level crossing at the current terminus and extend another mile to a retail park.

    Regards Joseph

  • Sweet little sentinel

  • @iantrack Thanks for the comment. This was the first time we had filmed a steam Sentinel. It was due to run some brakevan rides but they altered the timetable because there were more passengers than would fit in a brakevan.

    Regards Joseph

  • Nice video Joseph. I had intended going to Elsecar myself but didnt make it. William is a real smokey beast. Thanks for posting and letting me see what I missed.

  • @mollsmyre Hi, Tommy. Unfortunately 'Mardy Monster' is on loan somewhere but it will be back soon. We would have liked it to see it going up the hill. There had been a model railway show in the heritage centre so there was a few more visitors to the railway. 'William' isn't powerful enough to move the two coaches up the hill. That's why it was coupled up to the Hunslet.

    Regards Joseph
