  • A wonderful instrument and great musician! Who was the builder/luthier?

  • Hi, thanks, tack så mycket!

Karl Erik Gummeson, Stockholm (1980 I think?)

    All the best

  • is this essentialy like a bass baroque guitar?

  • The lute is of course an older instrument but it seems that the Pandora was used at least up to 1750, probably longer.

David Kellner talks about the Pandora as one of several plucked continuo instruments in his Generalbas treatise published as late as 1739 in Swedish.

  • Pity that the instrument was one of 'fashion' - wasn't it only in the forefront for a couple of decades, whereas the lute just went on and on!?

  • Hi, 1st is single the 2nd double.
