  • Just so it's said, I think you all should know that Sifu Lam provides applications such as this to give a very clear representation of the principles being used, and how they're used mechanically. These are not "if this, do this" self-defense presentations. They never are.

  • its funny how everyone becomes an expert after watching a vid on youtube & tries to convince everyone else that they know what they're talking about. lol losers!!

  • A bad-designed weapon could cause warrior die in battlefield.

The worse thing about a bad martial art application is, it Make You Think you got sth to protect your own body and casue you not to choose Running away from situation.

In the end you die or get sever damaged because of it.

If you don't learn any, you may run and escape, which eventually save your life.

Think about your life while learning any martial application.

  • @lvladikov Drunk people in bars/clubs/parties/street festivals frequently "attack" by simply rushing at you to grab your neck or shoulders. Or even better, think of a very heavy object rolling off a shelf towards you, you need to catch it, yield to its momentum, and then push it away. If you just try to push, the weight of it will break your wrists. See other comments here about how these demonstrations are never about "when an opponent does X, respond with Y". These simple demos show principles

  • @TheChickenlover2 . I also don't want anymore injury, so I am trying Bau Gua Zhang. I enjoy it. See: Bagua: The Art of Change by Ted Mancuso AND: Creating Flexibility through Qigong

  • tell me one thing.... who will ever attack you like this guy did at the beginning.... with both hands like he wants to hug him....

  • @Toryonline

Yes, and if you learn martial arts, but still know how to avoid conflict or "just run", then you'll run better than the average, scared, people... Therefore, I choose to train and never stop doing it :)

  • @TheChickenlover2

So when you were nine your teacher said you will never learn? You had a terrible teacher. You have to keep trying. Everyone has their Martial Art roadblocks. You just need to learn how to overcome them. Keep trying and you will get better at your own rate.

  • @Toryonline whats your point yes if you don`t know how to use your martial arts well you may get hurt but you are just as liable if not more to be hurt if you know nothing and there are people i`m learning from one who can use their martial arts to a real fight with potential lethal affect so basically learn well

  • @transmoongoddess "A few months?" You DO realize that Sun was already a high-level master of baguazhang and xingyiquan when he began to study Hao style taijiquan...? Of course his progress would have been quick. But I think you mean "years," not "months."

  • I haven't seen this family of Tai-Chi...thanks!!! Nice video!
