Hi naturvetenskap09
Have you raised any young? I am currently working with the species and am raising 40 young from one male. They are 5 day old now and I'm feeding then enriched artemia, but will start supplying them with copepods soon. I am very interested in learning more and to share information about this cryptic species.
Thanks

WOW!! Can some pipefish be brown? Cause I think I saw one in my filter that I gotfrom a friend that he used befor me! And he has ALOT of fish!! The fish was VERY skinny but not quite as skiny as the fish seen in this video. But that might be because it probebley not have eaten in a long while. Can some one help me?
Very Interesting video. I just purchased two dragon face pipefish(check out my video). Have you compared your study of broad nosed pipefish with any other pipefish that originate from tropical environments?
Also, how long do your mated pairs stay together before they find a new mate?

@cleedivine Hi. I have not compared my pipefish with any tropical species. Also, the pipefish I am working on do not have any long term pair bonding. They pretty much mate and leave each other. So, each female mate with several males, and each male mate with several females often within one brooding cycle. /Gry Sagebakken, Department of Zoology, University of Gothenburg

Hi
I am feeding them artemia - frozen and live.
I also give them live copepods, sand shrimps etc. that I trawl from the bay I took the pipefish from.
Good luck with your pipefish.

This pipefish species can be from near black to pale grey, light green and brown. However, I am not sure what species you have found, since there is quite a few pipefish species and fish species that are long and thin. I hope you found the answer helpful.
