I loved them then ,I love them now .

Yes I second all the comments on the Dave Guard era. That definitely was THE Kingston trio. I spent hours in front of my dads hi fi system listening and singing and playing my guitar along with these great gentlemen. I dearly miss them and I enjoyed the clips mucho.............

God what happened to music in this country. Can't even compare with these guys. I was just born too late.

dave guard, always put humor into his work which caused bob, and nick,to bounce off him.....ever see a banjo player who did'nt have good humor?

I give this a thumb down because it's frustrating to keep jumping around from song to song. Is the world going to end right away or is there time to hear the whole song and then the next and the next.

Like pleximarz, I did the strum-along with Bob, Nick & Dave (later replaced by John) and probably learned the better part of my 5-string banjo playing from doing so. I was lucky enough to play in some good trios and quartets along the way myself, and Kingston Trio songs were ALWAYS in the mix. From Tom Dooley until their last big number ("Comin' from the Mountain" by John Stewart), the Kingston Trio pretty much set the standard for music of their unique style.
Thanks, I enjoyed making it. I have one of the John Stewart era made but it isn't posted yet.
