In the film INNERSPACE, test pilot Lt. Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid) volunteers to be miniaturised for a ground-breaking scientific experiment, only to find himself accidentally injected into the body of anxious supermarket clerk Jack Putter (Martin Short).

Here, after finally re-establishing communication via Putter's ear drum, Tuck persuades Jack to return to the hijacked VectorScope labs and find out what happened.

Years back, I remember watching this movie mid-afteroon, and noticing a particularly successful dialogue trim about half-way through. Normally, I'm almost always dead-against these kinds of cuts, but I think this one actually beats the original.

  • i love this movie.

martin short is cute in this movie.

  • Thanks for uploading this. It's interesting. However, I'm not sure I'd consider that a totally successful cut. I think they (the BBC) could've had the "best of both worlds" if they'd trimmed the swear while still retaining the original joke such as...

"We're gonna do everything possible to get you out of this... civilian."

"You'd better you two-faced son of a--" (snip)

    "Tuck says, Thank You."

In fact, in a weird way, that may have worked even better than the original.

  • I don't really think the cut version is better. Putter's 'translation' of Tuck's "You'd better..." statement adds to the movie in my opinion.

  • I am in love with how he looks in this movie. CUTIE!!!

  • @WastedPo That *is* better than the original! Nice!

  • great movie

  • meh

  • Tuck says son of a bitch a least twice in the mowie, first time when he realized he's in human

  • I heard about the FV movie too--first time I heard someone else mention it-cool man

*high fiiive* hah, I dunno lol but I like the cameo idea--like put a clip of Jack shrieking on a computer screen for like a split second-then we could be like "Haha-I GOT that" And the kids will be like "EH, I don't get it! That was WEird!!!" Haha, great...or of course they can think of something better
