This style of turban is generally worn by Nihang Sikhs . This is the warrior style turban meant for going into battle. This version show the "Chand Tora" with the metal wire around the turban.

This page has a collection of videos which are meant to assist people in learning how to tie a turban, or to learn a different style of turban. The turbans listed here are those generally worn by people of the Sikh faith. There are quite a few different variations and turban styles that Sikhs wear. These videos are just some of the many variations. We hope that these videos are helpful for you.

  • LOOKS GRRREAT (got that from the cereal ad) but seriously, thats good

  • Nihang Singhs are Khalsa and are above Shiva the demi God, Shiva is subject to birth and death, but the True Khalsa are not. There is no difference between God, Guru Gobind Singh and the Khalsa. Shiva is nothing

  • why must it be mal-mal? not all mal-mal is the same though... so should you get F-74 of F-76 mal mal?

should you soak it in cold weater over night like norrmlas dastaar material?

  • how many meters of each amterial is used for the joora, keski and then the dumalla?

  • its a symbol of Shiva, seeing that the nihangs are equal to shiva - also remindent to always severe god. in japji sahib we red that vishnu brahma and shiva are under control of God.

Nihangs, are equal to shiva, who is also known as rudra, the great warrior.

  • actuyally, no

at the bottom it is a crescent moon, with a khanda rising out of the top.

  • its the khanda, a reminder to sikhs

2 swords on either side represent miri and piri, the balance between spirituality and temporality. the khanda in the middle represents god and that we must raise the sword to pretect the weak and the circle represents that god never ends

  • what is that jewl for that your placed on your wrap? this is so beautiful to me.
