This slideshow is about the two capitals of the dual monarchy. Past and Present. The golden age of Vienna and especially Budapest.

The pictures were downloaded from the Internet.
Music: Johannes Brahms: Ungarische Tanzen

  • That's all Austrian architecture ;-)

  • Wats the name of this song?

  • Budapest = a világ legszebb városa / the beautiest city of the world

  • I don't like monarchy in any way, but I really despise the cheap nationalism that has risen after the end of the monarchy. Slovaks, Hungarians, Germans, Croats whatever...we all intermixed for centuries, we had one culture, one identity. We had influence in the world, today we are just a couple of stupid nations, that have silly disputes and conflicts.

  • @EuropeTraveller yes, Temesvár and Segesvár in their original name:)

  • Where is Prague? There is no doubt it was the capital of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia during the Austro-Hungarian era. Of course, Vienna was the capital of the Austrian part of the Empire, but Austria contained many more states with its capitals.

  • Pozsony WAS a little city in North-west Hungary! Mert sajnos már nem a miénk. Azon a helyen, ahol egykoron királyainkat koronázták majd' 150 évig, ahol a rendek elfogadták a 48'as reformok rögös útjára való lépést, most a "szlovák" parlament ülésezik....

A szlovák szót a felvidéken élő mindenféle szláv népekre értették mintegy gyűjtőnévként.

  • If you don't able to understand history, please don't write stupid comments.

The ladn belongs to those, who defends it for thousands of years!

  • You Hungarians, you really need doctor cause you are crying that Slovakia was part of Hungary so you think nowadays it would be same but this rumination is sick and boring. We can say oh during Great Moravia Empire Hungayria and many other nations were ours so we can say all these nations belongs to us. OMFG open your eyes and start thinking and learn real history! You have to choose:1. Start behave like Europeans and not like monkeys or 2. GET THE FUCK OUT OF EUROPE!!!!! (and go back home-Asia
