There is a melody in this piece that has to come out. Mostly the melody tones are played with the thumb. Exercise in a slow pace and play it the way it should sound (the melody must be heard) and after a while of exercise you will be able to play it faster, but right this time. And by the way, don't take this as an insult of some sort, Im just a fellow guitar player who wants to give you a tip. Have a good day!

the problem with playing it fast is you lost notes like CRAZY, this is really nice piece despite it being just a study, but when played too quick it loses everything
