I know. Does anybody really believe the radio hosts/media who say that most Americans are against Health Care reform?

My husband was in a nursing home for 3 months last yr. Even with Medicare paying 80%, we now have a bill for $10,400!! That's almost 2X what I make in a yr on SS.The States are slashing their Medicaid budgets.We may well loose our home. We're the only Western nation where a citizen can loose a lifetime of work if one illness hits. That's not civilized.

I have an outrageous bill. Just got it today I ow $11,364,75. Just to find out nothing. I went in with shortness of breath,and pain in my Chet wall. I saw the doctor for no more then a min. After then end of the day they had no results.They gave me Robitussin 5mm they charged me 864 dollars for it. Look I know the doctors,nurses,and the staff have a hard job to do,but they charge ridicules amounts of money.

they did not do anything to her i swear and that s beacuse she was ok we were really tired and we just wanted to get out of there and finally they let us go.last month i got 2 bills one for $1,600 and the other one for $2,154 can you believe it i wanted to cry i just could not imagine how in the hell i was going to pay for that and i mean what could have been that cost that much money if they did not do anything to my baby no medicine or antibiotics they just checked her temperature thats it

a few months ago i switched from breastfeeding my baby to formula unfortunatly my baby had a bad reaction and got diarrea she was very pale and she would not respond she seemed very sick so i took her to the E.R. we waited for about three hrs. at the waiting room and by the time a nurse called our names my baby was perfect and we actually thought of going back home but they made us stay once the nurse checked her we had to wait for the doctor for another hour

i thot i was going into cardiac arrest while on acid. turned out i wasnt but i went to the emergency room and stayed there less then an hour while they gave me an IV to lower my heart rate. just got the bill-$1250

The reality is private Hospitols have overhead. They have expensive equipment. They have well trained nurses. Well trained staff. So there you have it. Would you prefer to have a lessor qualified nurse? How bout an idiot behind the desk who misinterprets everything you say? How bout a doctor who didn't finish medical school?

@judutchinski they can't "pull the plug" on anyone without consent regardless of how disagreeable the patient or their relative is to the staff.

They have no right to take a life just because someone is mouthing off to them.
