Last month, pirates assaulted the Liberty Sun, a U.S.-flagged merchant ship carrying food aid to Kenya. Here's how it went down.

  • I might just quit my job and become a shipping mercenary - show these pirates what the business end of an M-4 looks like.

  • Pretty amazing

  • @Nupetiet

    Arr Somali pirates, we!

  • The Liberty Sun was never boarded... or captured, and the commander of the pirates DID issue a threat to the US for killing his crew members. Threatening to intentionally seek out american vessels and slaughter their crewmembers

  • fucking white basterds

  • "No, No, I'm staying right here with you."

    Fucking man right there

  • beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

  • Then that wouldn't be a terrorist at all, what you are referring to is a criminal.

  • Well, to be honest I've never personally seen anyone call these pirates terrorists. I think people are just too used to refering to all non military forces "terrorists".

I will agree that these guys are not terrorists, they are pirates.

  • I don't believe they have used any terror tactics atall.

All they have done is boarded a ship and captured its crew and spat in the eye of corporate America. They havent bombed anyone, used propaganda or exacted punishments or threats on anyone. This is the true definition of terrorism and it was largly invented by the British in WW1 and was further refined into genocide by the Nazis. It was then copied by the defeating armies of the USSR and USA and that brings us to modern day.

  • I agree with you to a point. Most "Terrorists" have an ultimate objective, and don't just do stuff to instill random terror with no end game.

But the fact these people rely on mostly terror tactics to achieve their goals earn them the name "terrorists".
