United Nations, March 2009 - 21st Century show. Until the mid 1990s, Peru was the worlds number one producer of the coca leaf, the key ingredient in making cocaine. Since then, Peru has had remarkable success convincing coca growers to switch to legal crops like coffee or palm oil. But the country is still a long way from wiping out the profitable coca leaf.

  • You are absolutely right. Little kids see those gay-ass videos and think *Wow! It must be cool* and they never learn of what horror they are contributing to until its too late. Maybe if they saw this they would understand why its not cool or fucking OK to do drugs like cocaine.

  • Videos like this should be shown to North American classes, not the silly 'Don't do drugs kids! The animated animal tells you not to!' stuff. Cultural context *is* key to understanding.
