We contend that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. Politicians love visible beneficiaries & invisible victims !
There is no such thing as a good tax. Politicians are leaches, mostly !
Three groups spend other people's money: children, thieves, politicians. All three need supervision.

Reason for tax increase is to subsidize overinflated salaries/benefits, excessive staffing, and outrageous benefits/pensions. Prison union is the egregious abusers, cost per prisoner $44k/year, unlimited sick days, excessive overtime, unlimited accrual of vacation days, retirement at age 50 with lifetime pension/healthcare benefits---quit buying votes with taxpayer’s dollars. Show some courage and leadership---privatize or decertify union. Who’s running the state, the union or the governor?
