Should be called a hack. Your using a "Uninterruptible Power Supply" made for use with a computer so that if the power falls you do not lose any data. Short time use only. $30.00 and up on Ebay. DC to AC Inverters on Ebay $0.99 and up.

@johnnnyreb51 lol, yes, I know it's a hack. I agree that it probably wouldn't last long if using the full power that it's rated for, in this case 180W. But, I'm going to hook it up to a fan today and see how long it lasts. I'll show the video. Just looking at the size of the heat sinks and power transitors on the board, I'm thinking it can handle 30W continuous. You must admit though, FREE is less than .99 + S/H. Why not put some old junk to work?

@london1817 not yet, I just got the idea today when I was trying to figure out what to do with that bad UPS. I'll keep you guys posted when I get everything hooked up. P.S. ... thanks for the sub ;-)
