BTP- Hordes Overview part 01 of 30

Very interesting. I've only ever really played GW based wargames, but this Hordes thing looks interesting, not to mention that some of the models are absolutely fantastic. Thanks for this peek at the game, Shawn...I might just have to look into it at some point.

1) It should have been pointed out that you do not need all 3 books to play. You only need the "Primal" book. "Evolution" and "Metamorphosis" are expansions that make the game more interesting. That's all.
2) You cannot (to date) play an army of "Minions". They are not like mercenaries in WARMACHINE.
3) Obviously WARMACHINE mk2 and HORDES mk1 are not compatible. That makes sense. But Privateer Press is working in HORDES mk2. It's the whole point to have compatible games!

is that because the only warlocks are lesser warlocks or what?

Right- they're similar to a Journeyman Warcaster and the jack assigned to him, except they're characters. They have the same powers as warlocks, just on a smaller scale.

Exactly... ONE of THIRTY?! All about Hordes? Oh my...

Actually the Hordes Mark 2 beta test is supposed to start this fall I think.

So, they wont be incompatible for long.
