I had the great pleasure of meeting Al when I worked at KOOL-FM in Phoenix. I shall never forget the contributions of Al and the Wrecking Crew. Their feats will never be duplicated.

Well done John. I did not know you were doing this. As you know, you attempted to have me meet Al a couple of times when I was in Phoenix, but his health prevented it. As his label mate on Stacy Records (Keith O'Conner with Cindy Lou song Stacy 958 and Torkays with Karate - Stacy 960) I was happy that I could add to the liner notes on a couple of his reissues
