  • Yes it is ink wash with a little bit of water color added for blue tones and face color.

  • The song is called Broken by my band Thirdstage and can be found at

  • It’s amazing how much conversation this piece has inspired, I love it. I took a slightly different approach to batman then usual, my intentions in the anatomy choices are to give him a more elegant look, like a dancer in mid step. I exaggerated his entire frame to create a water fountain like aesthetic; small at the bottom and spreading out at the top. Though it may have some realistic qualities, realism was never my goal. It was intended to be an expressive and stylized piece from the get-go.

  • Pro.

  • Great tune and great drawing brother thankyou for that!

  • Amazing work....

  • @MediaPunch your using ink-wash tehnique?

  • Song please??

  • I agree that he has a chick pack. Having nothing but the skin superficial to the linea alba shaded that much qualifies as a chick pack. I don't mean to sound sexist (especially since I am a woman), but considering the character's level of fitness, I think it would actually look a bit more realistic if the abs were a bit more defined. Also, that shade of blue really detracts from the inking (which is really spectacular). Way too chromatic. Of course, that's watercolor for ya.

  • his abs look fine if he was a teenager or a women but this is supposed to be batMAN....this def makes him look weak...but the painting/ inking skills are epic and give u major props for ur brush skills
