Iwate Swan 17: Marukan Department Store

So the Christms shopping continues in this episode where I am on the hunt for some Christmas Cards. The Marukan Department store in Hanamaki is pretty famous as it is one of the older shopping centers in the city. In the past 10 years newer places like the Ito Yokado featured earlier in the city have sprung up, but I figured it would be fun to visit this relic of Hanamaki's shopping past.

From what I am told, now the main attraction of going to Marukan is actually for the restaurant that is there. It is really famous for some increidlbe ice cream that you eat with chop sticks! It was really a wild experience to eat ice cream in such a manner, and I hope you guys enjoy all of the goodies in this episode. See you next week for another adventure!

part of it is genetics, and part of it is using a beard trimmer or not before I film the videos haha. I just grow hair pretty quickly on my face though.

I almost forgot to ask... whenever you're taking videos of certain stores, did the staffs there don't forbidden you on bringing a video cam? But yeah, I do remember one of your episodes (forgot already) there's one point that you didn't able to take shot one certain store because you were forbidden to do so... but seems most of the stores you visited didn't seem to forbid you =)

yeah i've only been told not to that one time in a grocery store haha. Usually I do try and keep the filming on the down low so as not to disturb anyone.

@TheJapanboy it is totally genetic bro.... I have done "scientific" reseach on it....if any of ur parents (or their family) have beard you will be more likely to have it... the myth that you have to use a razor to grow beard is a COMPLETE LIE!!!
