  • @qongo6 clearly you're blind. Cooke pulls his elbow in, lines up the headshot, then looks away as too look innocent. this is the DEFINITION of an intention blow to the head of a defenseless player. Cooke should have been suspended for this hit, if not fined also.

  • Sad thing. Hes career might be over. Savard Would have had a bright future. Great playmaker and passer. Not a bad shooter also.

  • @x0oPirate He really had no choice to change. His choices were either change the way he played or spend most of the season not playing with suspensions and forfeit a lot of his salary to fines.

  • I'm a Penguins fan and I even think this hit was bad. Cooke has changed a lot this year though and I'm proud of him for that.

  • cooke's shoulder, not elbow

  • @rgd32162 Stevens caught guys like Kariya and Lindros with their heads down. Stevens rarely blindsided guys.

  • @rgd32162 that was when concussions werent such a big issue in sports. at all level of sports, head injuries are being taken extremely seriously now.

  • @humpsuka im his cousin (savards)

  • @Scream42011 paul steigerwald

  • I'm a Pens fan and I didn't like this hit and feel the NHL dropped the ball by not suspending Cooke. However look up "Scott Stevens' top 5 hits" on youtube and tell me honestly that they aren't the same as this one. Cooke has been labeled a "cheap shot artist" justifiably so yet hits like this one got Stevens into the Hall of Fame

  • :09 ref fail

  • @Terba28 - I thought the knee on Cole was one of the worst as Cole was not in a position to be looking for a hit. When carrying the puck you should always be ready to be hit.
