Speaking as a synth nerd this game really is one of the best uses of the ym2612 chip ever as far as the patches go. The FM almost sounds analogue and that's quite an achievement.
As a game, it's got that Konami learning curve--hard as hell the first time you play it but once you've beaten it you can beat it every time you play it.

Ahh, the days when platformers were king.

@Persiana LOL SPARKLY
-
I will never forget this game... kind of brings tears to my eyes..

Sparkster is a soldier, has a rocket pack and taken on threats similar to sonic and he knows how to pilot a mech, sonic is overrated, sparkster would own him if konami stopped to realise he'd be good in next brawl game.
-
Here's to the best damn underrated videogame character of all time, konami would rather have snake on his own even though sparkster was and still should be the other mascot as well as a few more that are, pull your fingers out konami.
If you agree thumbs up.

Nah, the video is a tool-assisted speed run, and it's insane. I wish I was that good.

You're probably thinking of Sparkster, which was the sequel to this game.
