The news calls it a peaceful because nobody is physically hurt and there's no destruction. I can tell you that a lot of the slogans on the signs at the rally were hateful. Accusing Jews of being Nazis is anti-Semitic. Trampling an Israeli flag is hateful and it happened at the rally. A bunch of people attempted to burn a flag but were stopped. People shouted all sorts of things like "Down Down Israel!" There were even Hamas/Hezbollah flags (outlawed terror groups in Canada).
