I find it ironic that they were joking about casting Thenardier beside Alfie.. who didn't even get cast as Valjean. I find it just a waste of talent. He IS Valjean.

Love this video. A plea: With 60 million people worldwide having seen Les Miserables, the expectation is high that Jean Valjean will be able to sing the role. Nothing less will do. Alfie Boe proved that he is Jean Valjean with the gravitas and truthfulness the role requires. The O2 cameras captured a masterful performer with the skill to make the future film memorable. The heft and range of his voice and the soulfulness of his eyes will play well to the big screen. Alfie Boe is a revelation.
