http://www.ted.com We're taught to try to live life without regret. But why? Using her own tattoo as an example, Kathryn Schulz makes a powerful and moving case for embracing our regrets.
TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate.

I feel like this video is best watched if you are one of the people who have experienced traumatic, enduring regret.

Listening comprehension. 11.5m was a figure for hits for a Google search. 7m was the number of people who regret tattoos. The latter number was not calculated from the former. 7m represented 17% of the total number of people who have tattoos.

I think she may be referring to a more extreme/extensive form of lobotomy.

Stupid speech. All in this world is determinded in two levels, extension (bodies and objects) and thought ( conscious beings), and it's all determined by rules, original movements of the mind that can be classify and studied, basicly desire-pleasure (titillatio) and sadness.
