Refuse The Terror

We saw the fear-mongering in the Balkans, almost as if by agreement of the three political leaders, to bait each others' populations with fear and further their own powers, respectively. I thought we could get that lesson from afar, but we fell for it like it was played - out here for the very first time.

this vid is BS! The numbers are right but the logic completely fails!

1. The Risk of beeing killed by a terrorist is so low BECAUSE of the security in place.

2. U cant compare - lets say - the risk of driving or dying in bed and terrorism because a increased risk of terror always ADDS to your "normal" risk. If achmed blows your car up while you driving - you are still dead. Classic statistic beginners mistake.

3. YOU alone can prevent dying of junkfood or smoking. You can not prevent a bomb.

This is great that someone out there is making the FACTS available....

Our only hope really is Ron Paul 2008...

See that's the problem with USA, I didn't say that I hate Americans or the USA or something in that way , but you always say that USA is the country of infinite possibilities, and maybe it is... but for the price of fear of the terrorism.

Darn! I'm no longer fearful of terrorism but now I'm extremely fearful of the problems that the politicians are going to cause with their fearmongering! You just can't win!!

this is what I say to my parents but they always assure me that indeed "terrorism is a real threat". They are not giuliani addicts, but they think that it is a mildly serious issue.
