My guess is there has been too much free healthcare given away and the government has been upending in the payments via some back channeling of funds to the healthcare system. So they decided to socialize healthcare to make money on the freebees by making everyone pay them for healthcare. A small loss to gain a large profit. But of course dealing with the people that wouldn't normally use healthcare because of no insurance will cause an increase in patients and thus they will increase rates.

This past yr has been a long, drawn out play, with the dems looking out for the working class, and the repubs trying to be fiscally conservative (ALL OF A SUDDEN). They DID NOT want REAL REFORM from the start. If they did, single payer would have NEVER been taken off the table. What about campaign reform? You hadn't heard ANYONE talk anymore on that subject. As long as they have to raise money for elections, we will continue in this same maze. Dems passed a bill, that could of taken 2 days.
