Here is a violin cover of two tracks from the FFVI soundtrack, 'Forever Rachel' and 'Terra's Theme'. Both were composed by Nobuo Uematsu. FFVI is one of my favorite among the final fantasy soundtracks, and these two themes are among some of the most memorable and moving tracks from the game.

This rendition of Terra's theme was taken from the intro to FFVI, and I tried to play it in a strong, but conservative way which I felt reflected her character best.

  • oh yeah! great playing...love both themes and you really did them justice!

the backing tracks are pretty well made too! i'm also curious for the program!

(just realised kris already asked about it XD)

  • @Trailaiday Thanks for the compliments =)

I use fruity loops as my DAW, audacity as my recorder, and the main sound libraries I use in fruity loops come mainly from Native-Instruments (which I'm still learning how to use!)

  • i like how you do your vibrato

  • @andthe94 Haha thanks =)

  • AHH!!! I have a confession to make, I'm doing a current LP of FF6 and everytime I hear this song, I start bawling. From the first note on 'Forever Rachel' I cried. Beautiful! <3

  • @Arieta1117 Even with the snes sound chip, 'Rachel's Theme' always gets to me also, it's such a beautiful theme!

  • Rarely do videos make it into my favorites. You're the first in over 5 months.

  • @krissalad Krissalad you can get a midi rendition fairly easily, and get synthesia for free without any prob. Then you can take out any instrument you want using synthesia and put the piano in. Sounds hard but it's pretty easy to do. Cheers!

  • @GilvaSunner My pleasure!

  • @lara6683 Much appreciated Lara =)

  • @TheArthureitor Aww, if I could clone it and send it over, I would! But if you want to know about the violin/mic I'm always happy to help!

  • @PhilHartshorn THanks Phil, I'm glad it could capture some of the magic that the original has!
