Yes, we know this topic is a bit dry, but it is essential to know if you ever plan on writing your own Excel formulas. Excel follows something called "The Order of Operations" and in this video Train Signal's Bill Kulterman explains this math fundamental using a variety of different examples. Then he shows you how to write formulas in Excel and how to copy formulas using a feature called Autofill. Trust us, this is a topic every Excel user, be it a beginning or more advanced user, should know.

  • Nice job Bill. A very essential topic to know about if you plan on working with Excel. And I wouldn't call it dry! Don't sell yourself short! This is by far the most thorough coverage I've seen on the order of operations and how it relates to Excel on YouTube. Keep 'em coming!
