@SeattleCoffeeGear "how to keep grinder clean" search grinder on youtube and see what you find

IIRC the Kitchenaid Pro-Line mill was like that; the burrs were installed vertically, with an auger to feed the beans in.

No that I know of...they all have either vertical or horizontal (at least the models that we carry and that I've used). - Kat

Hi!
Is there any grinder which doesn't have a horizontal exit chute?
All grinders i know do have a 2cm horzontal exit chute, so there always remains old coffee, even Mazzer Mini does have a horizontal exit chute.
The only grinder i know which has a 45° exit is the Elektra Nino but too big for kitchens.
Stupid constructions for coffee.

@filfoman Maybe only people that were actually smoking it at the time? ;) - Kat

this could be a typical problem on superautomatic, couldn't??? I have an Odea Black go and I've checked that there's quite humidity inside after using despite ventilation because of wet grounds. And it's difficult access for cleaning :(

@tekniksffd You know, we don't really hear of this being a long term maintenance/care issue with these machines. You do need to get the grinder serviced every couple of years to ensure good performance and the tech would clean the chute as part of that, but it doesn't come up often as some kind of a regular cleaning/maintenance problem that is causing performance issues....so their design must account for this somehow. - Kat

A vacuum cleaner is the noisy fix, but it works very well indeed.

Ah yes -- if your nozzle can fit down in there :) - Kat
