Chicago 912 Tea Party Patriots! 9-12-2009

No More Lies!
Chicago only had between 500 and 750 people according to police (and me).I also noticed that there was not one black person at this event. (correction: I was told that two black people were in attendance. My point still holds) Many people on the left claim that the Tea Party movement is primarily motivated by racist white people. This is not the case from what I have seen (opposition to socialism is the primary motivation), but the question of why minorities are not showing up at Tea Party events in any significant numbers is a valid question. Many on the right attempt to dismiss the question out of hand. I however, seek the truth. If I must break ranks to do so, I will.

Chuck is upset because I requested him to verify his facts about crowd attendence. The real issue is he wants to tap into the Tea Party members as readers for his blog, which I don't care either way. But I will NOT support him and his one man band when he misrepresents us intentionally as he has as a means of blackmail.

You must have left early. Not only were African Americans welcome, they had a chance to speak. Two African Americans had a chance to speak from the stage.

I stood among this crowd today. I felt awkward shouting, but as we got off the sidewalk, we got a lot louder. This tea party was SOOO much better than the one we had on July 4th because more people were there!
