2007 Pan American Games- medal ceremony

I'm glad Mexico won 3rd. They should start seeking Mexican talent and prepare for the Pan Am that will be here. Mexico needs a team going to the Olympics.

I know! They had plenty of chances with Magaña, Moreno, and Denise Lopez to get a team to the Olympics, but that never happened unfortunately...

The "booing" had nothing to do with being beaten by The US team - actually, Brazilians really admires the US team. They booed Bush. I know that it seems weird...but brazilian people do not aprove Bush policy, so they were like showing that through teh american athlets. Very unpolite, I know, but the intention wasn't being rude with the athlets

Even though, that shouldn't have happened.

I also disapprove Bush and almost every American president for the last decades since WWII.

But this is sport, not politics, Brazilian should have behaviours with sportsmanship.

Booing athletes is very unclassy indeed. Shows lack of conciousness from the Brazilians in the crowd.

If Brazilians intend to do that again, I would be glad Rio doesn't make it to Olympics 2016. Even though I'm Brazilian

The US sent a team of amateurs and an injured veteran, while the Brazilians literally assembled their "all-star" team. You bet the crowd is pissed, seeing their "all-stars" being beaten by a group lacking international experience at the time (except Nastia).

the pan ams before this were held in santo domingo and the crowd was very polite

lmfao you realize every country in south + central america does this. and you can BET the olympics will be in Rio in 2016. we already hosted the Pan American games, were gonna host the World Cup 2014, were hosting something else, and the olympics are next. lol ill save this post for when that time comes :D
