@ElizaMiranda So what does not like our President or our foreign policy have to do with booing innocent athletes ? This really shows that the people in your country are ignorant.
This was the wrong venue to protest Bush, this crowd should of marched in front of the American embassy ...I mean really.

One crowd doesn't represent a whole county! In Atlanta gymnasts couldn't even hear their floor music because of the crowd. Montreal Canadiens fans booed the American anthem. Sometimes their are just rude people in the crowd.

What an uncivilized manner booing other athletes! At least we never saw something like this in the Olympics.

@BoeingRules Sorry, but our injured veterans and "amateurs" still would beat your best Brazilian team 10 times out of 10 no matter what they competed. Look at the history of gymnastics, for crying out loud.

Even though, that shouldn't have happened.
I also disapprove Bush and almost every American president for the last decades since WWII.
But this is sport, not politics, Brazilian should have behaviours with sportsmanship.
Booing athletes is very unclassy indeed. Shows lack of conciousness from the Brazilians in the crowd.
If Brazilians intend to do that again, I would be glad Rio doesn't make it to Olympics 2016. Even though I'm Brazilian

I know! They had plenty of chances with Magaña, Moreno, and Denise Lopez to get a team to the Olympics, but that never happened unfortunately...

I'm glad Mexico won 3rd. They should start seeking Mexican talent and prepare for the Pan Am that will be here. Mexico needs a team going to the Olympics.

The "booing" had nothing to do with being beaten by The US team - actually, Brazilians really admires the US team. They booed Bush. I know that it seems weird...but brazilian people do not aprove Bush policy, so they were like showing that through teh american athlets. Very unpolite, I know, but the intention wasn't being rude with the athlets

I'm brazilian,and i have to say that i'm ashamed of my country since when i watched that. Those people is just 5% of brazilian people. Don't judge all people because it's worse than boo your team.
I love so much all american gymnast of this team and I'm super happy to see them win on this event. So please,more respect with whom has nothing to do with this.

Justifying booing the U.S. because you hate our president shows a complete lack of intelligence. This is sport, not politics. Second, how many of the people competing at Pan Ams were even ELIGIBLE to vote??? It is completely illogical to boo a bunch of teenagers because you don't like their government. Have some class, please.
