  • I've been a major & indie A&R & now run my own established music/media Mgmt company. If there's one bit of advice I can tell you, it's that this guy is talking shit. There is NO definitive way to get a deal. Most of the time it's down to being part of the industry "clique", which is an upper middle/upper class elite that dominate the marketplace. It's who you run with NOT how good your tunes are. Why else would Cheryl Cole be where she is now? Through talent?? LoL......

  • Two ways to make it in the industry

1.Beat at your craft every single day until your music is so good that it would be stupid for the record labels not to sign you and would be a good investment if they did

2.Suck alot of record exec dick, Autotune the shit out of your voice and get alot of hype

Number 2 is how 60% of artists in the industry do it today lol

  • @AngelArtists What if I have been told by plenty that I should been signed, but I have no agent nor manager? Should I go to to a record label?

  • @infringinator He didn't say anything that contradicted that fact, dumbass. His point is that if you're being successful already, a record company WILL sign you. If it's already evident a band is going to be popular, why would they not jump on the money train. He never said that's the only way to get signed.

  • This guy is teaching a class he doesnt know shit about fame. Lady gaga was singing to someone in an office, and an executive heard her down the hall and offered her a contract.

  • My advice to making a hit is this. Play whatever trendy style of music is popular now until someone notices you. When the trend goes out of style, switch to the next big thing.

  • Check out Global Minds Ent - Down South and leave feedback.

  • @AngelArtists ur durrr Cheryl Cole got to where she is because she had the initiative and self belief to enter a pop star contest, and was then as part of the band Girls Aloud excellently marketed to UK tweens and teens all over the UK. Basically what this guy is saying but done by professionals as she had the advantage of winning management instead of gaining it.

  • @TDotBann I agree.......
