a civilian carrying a gun for self defense is a moron. if someone points a gun at you because he wants your phone and wallet if you hand them over he has no reason to shoot you. if you attempt to draw your gun, switch the safety,point it and fire it while his gun is ready and pointed at your face it will probably end badly for you. I'd rather just be robbed then shot and robbed.

Well, that would be one thing if all people every did was steel. But see, there are these other crimes like rape and murder that tend to happen just as much. At least if you get mugged while having a gun, you have the choice of being his bitch or defending yourself.

How do you know he won't just shoot you after you hand him the stuff so you can't report it? You are assuming a lot when you say "he has no reason to shoot you". You are not only assuming, you are betting peoples lives on it. I would rather play russian roulette then trust the guy threating my life with a gun.

Yeah it is ay too easy to get a gun...........ILLEGALLY! Which is how criminals get guns. They go to gangs and the black market to get supior firearms than cops and the average Joe. Which are M16's that are fully automatic no questions asked and AK-47's that you can get for under $300 dollars in a number of African countries.
