@skaterdude15awful you got luck i dont no why pppl say there animals are sick well yes most are but you got lucky anddidint get em but if you have the mone thats why thers a vet but thn agian when it comes don to birds goodluck i dont nthink any vets by whre i live is very good with birds....

I've always gotten my parakeets from petco and petsmart and i've never had a problem with them. I recently bought a beautiful recessive pied parakeet from them about 3 weeks ago. He was sooo easy to train and so sweet. He is not sick and is really healthy and a happy, playful bird.
So don't generalize all petco stores! :)

mbinim i have a question..... there is this mini pet store in my area.. they sell parakeets and fish and stuff... Do you think the parakeets are un heathy there??? because its a small petstore but there is like 4 budgies/parakeets per cage..

well my freind told me about his store and said it was great so i brought my first budgie sunny then my 2 budgie KeCo right now im stil training my bird KeCo but sunny can come out and play so can her freind but how old is you parakeet

thats cool. but whe ni got my parakeet the guy that owned the store was a breede rbut he had a pet store too and i was looking for the youngest and healthyest parakeets there and i choose my 2 and this weeked im going to buy a cockatiel but my budgies and the cockatiel are going to have seperate cages but im happy

i agree with you, though. since you got yours from a small healthy pet store, that's great! huge stores like petco will always have dodgy sick ones...
that's great your guy's a breeder and also has a pet store! how'd you find him? make sure to put videos of your pets, ok?

budgies at petco suck because half of the anaimls there are very sick. and i got my budgies in germany and they are 10 times better them petco's and yours really and there are no petco's in germany and i got mine in a small healthy pet store

i think getting animals from petstores are always dodgy. we got our 3 budgies from a lady whose budgies had babies. that's the best way to get budgies--from another budgie owner. we got ours in tokyo too that way.
