U C, I wouldn't use such terminology. Why can't you just watch the person move their neck, notice they are restricted with pain and then free up the movement and make the joint do what it's suppose to do. Maybe it's hitched up,, etc.. but the term misalignment is a misnomer. Anomalies are normal; asymmetries are normal, what you palpate may be the shape of the vertebrae. I'd like to see the titles given up and just help the joints function.
What does machine cost? If it's inexpensive, OK, just hard to see point behind it when U can mob it w/your hands. If u r concerned about people who are heavy handed&it will do this job safetyok;but if they are heavy handed, they would be this way with everything & perhaps shouldn't be in practice. I mob A/A's fairly frequently w/my hands if it causes pain w/movements & even w/some cervical HA's. U can also use a thin strap to mob w/ It was just surprising machine looks like overkill
You can mobilize the Atlas/Axis with your thumbs and no machine is required; you rexamine the motion afterward and the results are obvious. There are many techniques including gapping, etc.. you don't need an expensive gimmicky machine to do this stuff. See Brian Mulligan procedures.
Do you even know what I'm saying? I've been doing this for over 20 years, I've rarely had to use manipulation. Manipulation places the joint into a non-physiologic state whereas mobilizations with movements allow the joint to stay as it is and move pain-free through a range of movement that was previously painful and limited. I've treated thousands of spines over the years and all of this etherial stuff is unecessary.
Exactly.

simple I mean. Also, you need to read the studies on assymetries.
