A sad situation, but not one of the "subprime" stories. The daughter is the only smart one in the family. She'll never make the same mistakes her father made.

such a sad situation

The bank could have continued to make a profit by allowing the orignal owners to remain in the property by working out a lease-purchase option at a more favorable rate, but they CHOSE to take the property back as it promised a higher return - but at what real cost?
The financial and mortgage crisis' continue to be in the control and hands of the banks and until they've decided that they've extracted every dime out of the American public, only then will it end.
