Great Video, 5 Stars!

Stone me that's some zoom - good luck with the new camera. Chris

yes but only cos I saw from your vid that you were on the other side of the viaduct, so for a change I went there the next weekend. and I've got a new video cam, it takes SD cards from my old 3 in 1 camera that had just 3x optical zoom and not possible to zoom whilst viding. the new one has 34x optical zoom. but I'm just getting used to it. as you can see I lost sight of the engine at full zoom as it approached dent, I'm learning.
Leon.

Thanks - a walk yes - but mostly flat which is all I can manage at the moment. I see you've found you way to the top now. Good luck - Chris

Thanks once again Vic. Lovely location hopefully showing the scale of the architecture without detracting from a fine looking loco. Chris

Thank you Richard. Weather, location and loco all make the camera work look so much better. Chris
Great vid Chris. Reminds me of the Border country that the Waverley route took just south of Hawick - all planted up with forestry now and ruined!

@NiallMS Thanks Niall. We are lucky to still have some of this scenery left and shouldn't take it for granted. Are you local to Hawick? If so, do you pronounce it Hake or Horwick? We had relatives near there (and at Duns) and have heard it pronounced both ways by locals. Chris

@khankadet Hi Chris. We pronounced Hawick "Hoik" and twenty miles south of it was Newcastleton, which the locals called "Copshaw Holm". The Waverley route ran through both places and through some wild country. We were at Shankend in the 50's, right in front of the fifteen arch viaduct and enjoyed some excellent views of passing traffic there. I hear the viaduct has recently been waterproofed so who knows.....maybe the WRHA have some big plans......!

@NiallMS Stone the crows - and I thought Welsh was a strange language. Good luck to the WRHA though. It looks a mammoth task. Chris
