Very nice my Friend! But hey, why do aspiring young PROFESSIONAL guitarrists have such strong opinions on the absolute way of making music...? Guess the world is becoming more and more competitive....
Anyway...keep on posting!
=))

Beautiful. Your rendition is, indeed, haunting.

elliot frank! are you like an ecu student?

This is one of my favorites songs... It reminds me of a great friend of mine, who once left the country for study, because I've played this in his "departure party".
Well, congratulations, it's a beautifull version of this piece! I think that slowly is more sentimental, melancolical and magnifescent; I prefer it instead of the "original" one.

beznadzieja. Gościu wogóle nie stosuje łączeń. Jeśli on jest nauczycielem, to współczuje jego uczniom...... :/ Beznajdziejnie
I like this one slow too. Maybe that means I dont kow how to "feel" music correctly. I guess I'll just have to ask a guitar performance major. But really though this was nice. I like your Gavotte by Ponce as well!

Thanks very much. Yes, there was much debate about the speed of this piece. I tend to like it on the slow side....most recordings I've heard of it are fairly slow. Glad you liked the gavotte as well.

i'm sorry if i sounded completley rude, which by the way, i did. This version you play sounds really akward to me! Sorry guy. The version i'm thinking of comes from Dr Elliot Frank live in october 2006 cd. Also the song is in Suite del Recordeo. But, i mean im majoring in classical guitar and i play soo much differently than you. O yeah a good tip to play with really good tone is to pluck the strings on the left side of your nails! You can hear the difference!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This song is actually supposed to be played faster. Not slower. It's in cut time even though its Tempo rubato. Dr. Elliot Frank plays this song faster and more fluently. This guy has the timing wrong on the notes in two measures behinf the last 1st ending. Its not a good performance. (no offense)

Thank you for your critique...I enjoy freedom of speech as well. There are a number of versions of this piece, the one I play is by Jason Vieaux who first recorded and performed this suite. He has a position of Director of Guitar at the Cleveland School of Music. It's played slowly, exactly as I've played it and I prefer this approach. Can you tell me your credentials to be making your comments? Also, if you've also recorded this piece, I'd love to hear how much better you play it.
