Went to a SAAC convention in Pasadena, CA in the late '70's when I was just out of high school and had a '69 GT500 ('69's were affordable if not too pristine then). Carroll came and walked through the parking garage. Club members were all creaming themselves. I was embarrassed for him. Talk about a bunch of nerds! Then watching vintage race films in the evening people were cheering on the Cobras as though they were watching a live race. Their offspring must be the video game dorks of today.

Think about Le Mans. World know track, french girls, good food, not far from my home...the perfect place !
Or go to Nurburgring, World know track, german girls (if you like them !), good food (bretzel, kartofells, oily bradwurst, beer)...
