I really enjoy the end of the song where the instruments fade off and it's just her voice <3

Your comment made me laugh when I thought about people who simply can't catch sarcasm and take everything literally. Oh boy, you might just have caused some hilarious confusion in some people's brains :P

I was going to say this sounds remarkably like a Reznor song... Then I checked the wiki. Indeed.

I just saw them and Trent was playing this bit on his guitar, but it didn't sound quite like the album and who knows what effects etc. he could be running it through

Can anybody tell me what instrument enters at 1:56 and 3:12? I always assumed it was a swarmatron but it looked almost as if Reznor was playing the part on guitar live.

"I feel the skin unraveling..." Yeah that's Trent. Mariqueen SUCKSSS, but ultimately she's irrelevant. Trent and Atticus make the music, Mariqueen is just an instrument. I'd listen if Gilbert Godfried sang this song. Maybe one day she'll be as good at vocals as Trent. As long as she makes Trent happy I can't complain. Trent deserves to be happy.

The ending with the guitars with the low-treble tone reminds me of the ending to We're in this Together.

I love both NIN and HTDA. They are different bands for a reason people.

Also, yes: Trent Reznor is amazing. Mariqueen Maandig is also. Her voice gives me chills in this song and at the very beginning of Keep it Together when she says "I feel the skin unraveling..."
