The Motherland Music Center is located in Culver City, which is between the Los Angeles airport and Hollywood. We have a retail showroom, drum repair workshop and class/performance space. We are open every day;
Monday thru Saturday 11a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday 12 to 5 p.m. Drum classes usually go till 9 p.m. M-F and we are opened for limited business during that time.
Everyone is welcome to stop by and check things out. Motherland Music has one of the best selections of African Drums and small percussion for sale in the world. We offer "hands on" instruction for learning traditional rhythms on most of the drums. Also, we have books and videos available for learning how to play and fix your djembe.
