@SomewhereNorthOf The New protools LE 9 is compatible with all Motu audio interfaces. Also the track count and sampling rates are now higher too.

Do you think MOTU Interfaces have good Preamps? I have a M-Audio Fast Track Pro and I think about gettin a Motu 828 MK III, I'm lookin forward to record with a good mic like a Neumann maybe a Shure SM7B. Do you believe the Preamp-Sound is good enough, in comparison to a RME Fireface for example?
Thank you in advance...

I have not worked with the RME Fireface, but in my experience, the mic pre inputs on the 828mk3 provide good quality combined with neutral, transparent sound. However, considering the mic options you've mentioned I would recommend a stand alone preamp. Perhaps something from ART which offer good quality for a fair price. Or, you could check out the Eureka from Presonus, This is a popular piece with our customers. Check out our site, we have plenty of solutions. Hope this helps, thanks!

@MarkertekVideoSupply would you recommend the presonus eureka instead of a motu traveller mk3?
FiSTFigHT09 1 year ago
@FiSTFigHT09 The Presonus Eureka is actually a single channel Mic Pre. Be it a very excellent choice if you’re recording vocals and such, but it can not really be fairly compared to the MOTU Traveler MK III which is an entire interface in itself which serves a much bigger purpose than a single channel mic pre would. But to reiterate, the Eureka is a GREAT choice for any mic preamp applications.

Can this be used with pro tools M powered 7.3 or 7.4
SomewhereNorthOf 3 years ago
The only hardware interfaces compatible with the M-Powered version of pro tools are M-Audio interface such as the FireWire 1814, FirWire2626, Project Mix IO, FireWire 410, Ultratrack etc...
